Weekend traffic delays expected

Alpharetta city officials said residents and drivers can expect heavy delays in two parts of town this weekend.

Ongoing projects in the area of Westside Parkway and Webb Bridge Road will mean periodic road and lane closures between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the section of Webb Bridge Road between Westside Parkway and Haynes Bridge Road entirely.

Also, several roadways will be closed downtown Saturday morning due to a road race and the Old Soldiers Day Parade.

Among thoroughfares that will see temporary road closures from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. are Old Milton Parkway, Main Street, Milton Avenue, and Canton and Roswell streets.
