Three teachers of the year selected

Three 2015-16 teachers of the year for Cobb schools were announced Monday by Cobb School District Superintendent Chris Ragsdale.

Ginny Lyon, kindergarten teacher at Chalker Elementary School in Kennesaw, is the elementary-level recipient.

Carol Mickus, a seventhgrade science teacher at Cooper Middle School in Austell, is the middle-level recipient.

U.S. Army First Sgt. Kathryn Burns, who teaches Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps at Campbell High School in Smyrna, is the high school-level winner.
