Norcross defensive back commits to Jackets
Jarett Cole, a three-star defensive back from Norcross, pledged to Tech over Kansas State on Thursday. He met with Tech coach Paul Johnson and defensive coordinator Ted Roof earlier in the day.
“I just let them know that I wanted to be part of the Georgia Tech family,” Cole said. Why Tech? “It’s great football, and the academics are outstanding,” Cole said. “It’s pretty close to home, and my family gets to see me play. And they play big-time football there.”
Cole is the seventh player to commit to the Yellow Jackets for the 2016 class. The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder is rated as the No. 68 prospect in Georgia.
