Fall festival: A free fall festival and trunk-or-treat event will be held from 3-6 p.m. today at Living Hope Church. Families are encouraged to dress up in costume, bring their children and friends, trick or treat through a maze of decorated vehicles, win prizes, enjoy snacks and more. Evening entertainm­ent: OVERTAKEN: Blank Canvas is a social event that will focus on connecting believers via a night of visual, graphic, vocal and culinary art and spoken word. When a famous dragonslay­ing hero comes to save the town, who will save the dragon? In “The Reluctant Dragon,” presented by Birmingham Children’s Theatre, families will be able to enjoy this musical adaptation filled with whimsy. Two performanc­es will take place on Sunday, Nov. 1: 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Both will be held at Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta’s (MJCCA) Morris & Rae Frank Theatre. Tickets are $7-$15.
