It’s an exit in fitting L.A. style for Bryant

Kobe Bryant took a career-high 50 shots in his final NBA game, scoring 60 points. That surpassed his previous career high of 47 shots, taken in a loss to Boston on Nov. 7, 2002.

And with sweat and confetti all over his gold uniform for the final time, he expressed humble thanks to his fans and family for their loving support over two decades.

“What else can I say?” Bryant asked. “Mamba out.”

Now that’s a Hollywood ending to a remarkable career.

Record night

Stephen Curry achieved yet one more shooting milestone, becoming the first player to make 400 3-pointers in a season by knocking down 10 from long range on the way to 46 points and 402 total 3s in the final game of the regular season.

The Warriors also posted their 73rd victory, surpassing the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls for most regular-season wins in NBA history.

President Barack Obama sent a tweet that said: “Congrats to the (at)warriors, a great group of guys on and off the court. If somebody had to break the Bulls’ record, I’m glad it’s them.”

April fooling

At TheKicker.com: “Steve Kerr will rest Warriors starters in first round of playoffs.”

No bother

Even though San Antonio dropped three of four to Golden State this season, there isn’t much concern from the Spurs. “It’s a whole new ballgame in the playoffs,” Spurs forward David West said. “Hopefully, it will be another two months, month and a half before we see them again. Our job is just to keep improving and prepare ourselves now for a tough first-round matchup against whoever.”

Surgery for Holiday

Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday had surgery last week to repair an orbital wall fracture on his right eye. He is expected to recover in six to eight weeks, well before the start of next season. Holiday, who hurt the eye March 28 against the Knicks, averaged 16.8 points, six steals and three rebounds in 65 games.

They said it

■ Bryant, on how he’s similar to the Thunders’ Russell Westbrook: “I didn’t smile much on the court, either. He plays the game with such an energy and such aggressiveness. It needs to be appreciated.”

■ Hornets coach Steve Clifford on the improved play in the Eastern Conference this season: “The East is night-and-day from where it was two seasons ago.”

Tip-ins

■ Suns: Devin Booker, 19, is the fourth-youngest player in NBA to score 1,000 points in a season. Only LeBron James, Bryant and Kevin Durant were younger.

■ Bulls: The last time Chicago missed the playoffs, in 2007-08, former coach Scott Skiles was fired in December and interim coach Jim Boylen was fired at the end of the season. The only player left from that team is Joakim Noah, who has been out since January with a left shoulder injury.
