Baby could be released from hospital today.

New York Mets manager Terry Collins said the newborn son of pitcher Jacob deGrom could be released from a Florida hospital today.

DeGrom, who missed his last turn in the rotation because of a sore lat muscle in his right side, was placed on the family medical emergency list Saturday. The 2015 NL All-Star will be on the list from three to seven days.

Collins said deGrom threw a bullpen session Sunday and is scheduled to pitch a simulated game Tuesday.

■ Mets catcher Travis d’Arnaud (bruised left elbow) was out of the lineup Sunday after being hit by a pitch Saturday. It’s unlikely he’ll play tonight at Philadelphia. Kevin Plawecki started behind the plate and had two hits.

Braves: Infielder Gordon Beckham sat out Sunday’s game after straining his left hamstring Saturday. A decision will be made today regarding whether to make a roster move.

Indians: Outfielder Lonnie Chisenhall (sore left wrist) is expected to return Wednesday. Chisenhall was placed on the 15-day disabled list March 28.

Rockies: Right-hander Jon Gray (abdominal strain) is expected join the team in Cincinnati this week, when the team will likely decide whether he’s ready to return to the rotation or make another rehab appearance.

Twins: Third baseman Trevor Plouffe, who had three hits and an RBI Sunday, had to leave the game in the 11th inning with a right intercostal strain in his ribcage. He said he will try to rest for a day to two before they make a decision on a disabled list stint.

Diamondbacks: Righthander Shelby Miller is OK to make his next scheduled start Thursday at San Francisco. He left Saturday night’s game in the second inning with cuts on his index finger after hitting the ground on his follow-through.

Rays: Closer Brad Boxberger (core muscle surgery) continues a throwing program and could return in the middle of May.

Nationals: Bryce Harper on Sunday became the second player to homer in six straight games in Philadelphia. Harper joined Hall of Famer Ernie Banks, who did it in 1955.
