Buyer’s Edge Where can I find it?

- By Sabine Morrow For the AJC

Q: I’m trying to clean an older oven for a rental, and the racks are a wreck. I heard about a cleaner that uses a bag. I think you put the racks into a bag with the cleanser and it does the work for you. I’d like to try this but I’m not sure what I’m looking for and haven’t found anything similar anywhere. Maybe you can help me out. Thanks. Barb Taylor, Norcross

A: Carbona offers its 2-in-1 oven rack and grill cleaner that cleans in four easy steps. Place the racks in the roomy bag, add the cleaning solution, let it soak, then rinse off. The eco-friendly cleaner is fume free and priced at $5.98 at Lowe’s, 2035 Beaver Ruin Road, Norcross, 770-441-0342.

Q: I have been trying to find old-fashioned decals to replace ones that were on my mother’s pottery cookie jar, which my son has restored for me. The original decal was of field flowers — red, blue, yellow and white. The jar, which dates from the early 1930s, was a handmade pottery jar in the shape of a beehive. It is quite unique and means a great deal to me. I have tried to search the Internet, and can find decals for fired pottery, but cannot find the old-fashioned ones that you would wet, then slip off the backing and press onto the object. I have spent months trying to find them, and admit that my computer skills are limited. Therefore, anything you can do to help me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Nancy Mehserle, Dunwoody

A: Nancy, I remember these decals from years ago. People would add them to kitchen or bathroom tiles and even cabinets. You’re looking for waterslide decals, which no longer seem to be popular items. I found plenty of websites offering materials with which you can make your own using a laser printer, but I realize that’s not what you’re seeking. So, I’m going to send you to the website www.etsy.com, and at the top, in the search window, I want you to type in “Arwen Moore Design.” At this Etsy store, you’ll find a wide variety of reproduced vintage waterslide decals. While you may not find exactly what you’re looking for, you can have an image custom made.

Q: Please help me find a chocolate flavored instant pudding made by a company called Nature’s Hand. It’s organic and has chia in it. Thank you. Gary Smith, email

Instead of regular milk, you can make the pudding with soy or nut milks. You can find it for about $2 per box at Wal-Mart Supercenter, 4725 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody, 770-395-0199.

Q: I’m trying to incorporate more fiber in my diet without having to resort to supplements. I’ve been trying to find beet juice without any luck for quite a while. The brand I want is by Lakewood. Thank you for your help. J. Garza, email
