Man shot six times in SE Atlanta

A 23-year-old man was in critical condition after he was shot six times Tuesday night in southeast Atlanta, police said.

Officers responded to a person shot call just after 11:25 p.m. and found Persian “Fat P” Lee on the sidewalk in front of a Browns Mill Road townhome community, Atlanta police Officer Kim Jones said.

Seven rifle casings and one handgun casing were recovered from the roadway,” Jones said.

According to police, the shooting started after an older model white Pontiac pulled up to the townhomes.

Lee, who returned fire, was rushed to Atlanta Medical Center before he could make a statement. However, police believe he was the target.

An attendant at a nearby gas station told police that Lee had been at the station earlier in the night.
