Newton enjoys home cooking

- Information from DawgNation.com, LandofBig10.com and the Seattle Times was used in compiling this report.

Everyone knows Cam Newton has refined taste in clothing, and a teammate is helping him develop a more refined taste in food as well.

Newton got a cooking lesson from his teammate, Carolina Panthers CB Leonard Johnson, in a new video by The Players’ Tribune. Johnson even tailored the meal specifically for his quarterback, making seafood since Newton is a pescatarian.

“Not only is he a great football player,” Newton said of Johnson, “but to my surprise, during training camp, I found out that he’s an unbelievable cook. Not no ramen noodle, lucky charm, hot dog, you know what I mean? He’s got culinary skills.”

Last season was Johnson’s first with the Panthers. And in an attempt to make friends with his teammates, during training camp, he kept offering to cook for anyone on the team.

Newton took him up on the offer, and he’s glad he did. He gained a good friend, and Johnson made the point that it makes good business sense to cook at home, too.

Elliott in trouble?

A video surfaced last week of Ezekiel Elliott exposing a woman’s breast in public during a St. Patrick’s Day parade in Dallas over the weekend.

The video was obtained by TMZ and shows Elliott pulling down the top of a woman at a rooftop bar. TMZ contacted a representative of Elliott, who said the woman “wasn’t upset” by the move and it was “all in good fun.”

It does not appear Elliott will face any legal ramifications from the incident. During his time at Ohio State, Elliott was accused of domestic violence, but the charges were eventually dropped.

The Dallas led the league in rushing and was the fourth overall pick in last year’s NFL draft.
