The plan has since been revised because of what the developer described as increased consumer demand for memory care and assisted-living services. It now calls for a total of 299 units – 175 for independent living, 74 for assisted living, 25 for memory care and 25 cottages. The memory care/assisted-living residences and the independent-living units would be in two separate buildings.

The revised plan also allows for dumpsters to be screened with the building facade or walls, fencing and landscaping; and to allow an alternate fencing from that called for in this particular zoning district. The Woodstock Planning Commission had recommended approval of the changes, with certain conditions. of a lien payment from the Wise puppy mill case, in which hundreds of dogs were seized from a Cumming couple.
