Bacchanali­a and Star Provisions Market & Cafe, the restaurant and gourmet eatery and market from chefs/owners Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison, opened last week in its new location on Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard in Atlanta. Joe Schafer continues as Bacchanali­a’s executive chef, offering seasonal four-course prix fixe menus daily. Brine Seafood Shack open at Avalon

Executive chef and restaurate­ur Marc Taft opened Brine Seafood Shack this week at the Avalon mixed-use developmen­t in Alpharetta. The menu from Taft and chef de cuisine David Connolly features dishes such as tuna poke, clam and lobster rolls, grilled fish, fresh oysters and fish tacos. Second Brass Tap at Glenwood Place

The second Georgia location of the Brass Tap opened this week in the Glenwood Place mixed-use developmen­t near Glenwood Park. The Tampa, Fla.-based franchise, billed as an “upscale craft beer and wine bar and restaurant,” offers 60 taps and more than 115 varieties of bottled beer. Look for snacks, salads, street tacos, sandwiches, burgers, and beer-battered fish and chips. Angry Chef and Mother Clucker return

In 2012, “Angry Chef” Ron Eyester, the former owner of Rosebud and the Family Dog in Morningsid­e, came up with a friendly competitio­n to celebrate what he calls the “ultimate comfort food,” and the Mother Clucker Fried Chicken Festival was born. After a two-year hiatus, the contest and tasting returns with 20 Atlanta chefs and restaurant­s, plus live music, beer, wine and cocktails featuring American Spirit Whiskey. $40$45. 2-5 p.m. April 30.
