Bacchanalia and Star Provisions open

Bacchanalia and Star Provisions Market & Cafe, the restaurant and gourmet eatery and market from chefs/owners Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison, opened last week in its new location on Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard in Atlanta. Joe Schafer continues as Bacchanalia’s executive chef, offering seasonal four-course prix fixe menus daily. Brine Seafood Shack open at Avalon

Executive chef and restaurateur Marc Taft opened Brine Seafood Shack this week at the Avalon mixed-use development in Alpharetta. The menu from Taft and chef de cuisine David Connolly features dishes such as tuna poke, clam and lobster rolls, grilled fish, fresh oysters and fish tacos. Second Brass Tap at Glenwood Place

The second Georgia location of the Brass Tap opened this week in the Glenwood Place mixed-use development near Glenwood Park. The Tampa, Fla.-based franchise, billed as an “upscale craft beer and wine bar and restaurant,” offers 60 taps and more than 115 varieties of bottled beer. Look for snacks, salads, street tacos, sandwiches, burgers, and beer-battered fish and chips. Angry Chef and Mother Clucker return

In 2012, “Angry Chef” Ron Eyester, the former owner of Rosebud and the Family Dog in Morningside, came up with a friendly competition to celebrate what he calls the “ultimate comfort food,” and the Mother Clucker Fried Chicken Festival was born.
