DBF keynote tickets available Tuesday

Tickets to the AJC Decatur Book Festival’s keynote and “Kidnote” addresses will be released to the public starting at noon Tuesday.

The keynote speech this year is headlined by a panel of journalist­s including National Public Radio host Brooke Gladstone, along with Carolyn Ryan, an editor with the New York Times and Wesley Lowery, a Pulitzer-winning reporter from the Washington Post. It will be held Sept. 1 at 8 p.m. the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts, 1700 N. Decatur Road.

The tickets are free, but are required for entry into the events. Tickets for the keynote speech are limited to two per person. Tickets can be picked up at the Arts at Emory box office, 1700 N. Decatur Road, suite 251, during their box office hours from noon-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. Tickets also can be obtained by calling the box office at 404-727-5050 or visiting tickets.arts.emory.edu. Phone and online orders include a $4 processing fee.

A limited number of keynote tickets also will be available at noon Tuesday at A Cappella Books, Charis Books & More, Eagle Eye Books, Tall Tales Books and Little Shop of Stories.

The “Kidnote” speech, which will feature television and film actor Henry Winkler, also are free and will be released at noon Tuesday. Tickets are limited to four per person and will be available at A Cappella Books, Charis Books & More, Eagle Eye Books and Little Shop of Stories.

The “Kidnote” will be held Sept. 1 at 5 p.m. at the Decatur High School performing arts center, 310 N. McDonough St.
