No. 2 Kansas loses again at home

Tra Holder scored 29 points and dished out seven assists as No. 16 Arizona State pulled off a 95-85 upset at No. 2 Kansas on Sunday.

Shannon Evans II had 22 points and Remy Martin added 21 for the Sun Devils (9-0), who overpowere­d the Jayhawks (7-2). The Sun Devils outscored the Jayhawks 58-42 in the second half.

Lagerald Vick led Kansas with 25 points. Kansas lost consecutiv­e games for the first time since December 2013. The Jayhawks were upset at Kansas City, Mo., on Wednesday by Washington, 74-65.

(At) No. 4 Villanova 77, La Salle 68: Phil Booth and Donte DiVincenzo each scored 18 points and the Wildcats (10-0) beat the Explorers (5-6).

(At) No. 21 Purdue 86, IUPUI 61: Carsen Edwards scored a career-high 27 points as the Boilermake­rs (10-2) ran by the Jaguars (2-6) for coach Matt Painter’s 300th victory.

No. 12 Gonzaga 97, (at) Washington 70: Johnathan Williams had 23 points and 12 rebounds as the Bulldogs (8-2) routed the Huskies (7-3).

Florida St. 72, Tulane 53: Braian Angola had 18 points and eight rebounds to lift the Seminoles (9-0) over the Green Wave (7-3) in Tampa, Fla.

(At) Virginia Tech 93, Maryland-Eastern Shore 40: Chris Clarke had a season-high 18 points to lead the Hokies (9-1) over the Hawks (3-8).

(At) LSU 97, UNC-Wilmington 84: Duop Reath scored a career-high 30 points, Tremont Waters added 20 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds and the Tigers (5-2) held off the Seahawks (2-5).
