Born into the prestige of the European racing world, the Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili company (known in English as the Anonymous Lombard Automobile Factory company) made quite a splash in 1910.

With Italian craftsmanship and design, the car that would later be known as Alfa Romeo quickly became a champion vehicle, taking home the 1926 inaugural world championship for Grand Prix Cars just 16 years later in 1926. Of course, Alfa Romeo’s innovation didn’t cease in the interwar period. A characteristic restlessness has led the company to the United States market to dominate the roads in Italian luxury that’s a bit more attainable than those other brands.

Entering into the same category as the Porsche Macan and the Jaguar F-Pace, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the first of the company’s SUVs to hit production, came onto the scene in 2016. Now in its third model year, the Stelvio has more than proved its worth. The 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is more than just Italian beauty, adding heartpounding performance and technology for the everyday driver to create a vehicle that begs to be driven.

Starting at a mere $41,995, the Stelvio is luxury that’s well within reach. Named for the Stelvio Pass in Europe, a terrifying yet beautiful winding road through the mountains, the Stelvio takes pride in performance above all else. Powered by a 2.0-liter all aluminum turbo charged four cylinder engine with 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque, the SUV can reach top speeds of 144 miles per hour, making this one SUV that can do so much more than morning drop off. Controlled by an eight speed automatic transmission, the Stelvio also comes with DNA Drive Mode Selector System that can switch between dynamic, natural, or advanced efficiency for the perfect drive no matter what.

The Stelvio isn’t a vehicle you’ll want to dirty up with offroading, but the Q4 All-Wheel Drive system is there to keep your car on the road through all elements and turns. Paired with the Chassis Domain Control system designed to coordinate all in use systems to create the most optimal and safest drive, the Stelvio will remain at peak performance regardless of scenario.

The interior of the vehicle is designed to be all leather and no lace. From the nappa leather seats to the leather wrapped steering wheel, the Stelvio is style and sophistication exemplified. In addition, the car was built with space in mind, and it comes with plenty of it. A 40⁄20⁄40 rear seat split, adjustable rail system, and storage hooks help to transform the Stelvio to create the ideal car for adventure.

With a fleet of standard safety systems including back up cameras, park assist, collision warning, and integrated braking, the Stelvio will do its best to keep you safe despite other drivers’ errors.

Focused on performance and Italian style, the all-new 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is an SUV built to ignite the daily drive.
