2018 Dodge Journey

Starting at $22,495, the 2018 Dodge Journey is available in four different models: the Dodge Journey SE, the Dodge Journey SXT, the Dodge Journey Crossroad, and the Dodge Journey GT. The base model (the SE) is available in FWD or AWD, and is equipped with a 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder engine, although a 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 engine is also available. This vehicle put out 173 horsepower and gets an EPA-estimated 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. It can tow up to 2500 pounds and can even go up to 500 miles on a single tank of gas. It gets an EPA-estimate 26 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway with the 2WD option; the AWD option gets an EPA-estimated 25 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. Cruise control is standard. There are beverage holders in both the front and back, steering wheel mounted controls and a 160-watt audio system with four speakers. There is a 5-inch color LCD screen and Bluetooth capabiliti­es. Kelley Blue Book gave the 2018 Honda CR-V LX with a rating of 9.7 out of 10.

2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Starting at $20,295, the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is available in three different models: the ES 2.0, the SE 2.4, and the SEL 2.4. The base model is available with FWD or AWC, has seven airbags and gets an EPA-estimated 24 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. Standard features include a 7-inch touch screen display, an audio system with rearview camera, and Bluetooth connectivi­ty. Cruise control and remote keyless entry are also standard. Audio and phone controls are mounted on the steering wheel; there’s a USB port, automatic climate control, and power door locks and windows. In this SUV, you’ll find two 12-volt power outlets, storage in the front door pockets, and storage in the center console and below the instrument panel too. Kelley Blue Book gave the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport a rating of 6.4 out of 10. They gave high marks in value (7.8) and design (7.2).
