City of Wo o d s t o c k Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for the Towne Lake Pass Trail. 5 p.m. Thursday. Woofstock Park Trail Head, 150 Dupree Road. The multi-purpose trail connection was built in conjunction with Cherokee County and dedicated to the memory of Woodstock City Council member Tessa Basford who passed away in 2014. The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners, in December 2016, approved a $2.86 million contract with Integrated Construction & Nobility, Inc. to construct the project. The concrete path runs from Woofstock Park to Towne Lake Hills South, connecting Towne Lake residents to the Noonday Creek Trail which runs from Market Street in downtown Woodstock to Ga. 92. The project was funded, using Woodstock’s portion of the county’s 2008 parks bond proceeds. WoodstockGa.gov.
