■ Canton Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events training program. 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Free. Zion Baptist Church, 140 Crisler St., Canton. This course is designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy that was developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Center at Texas State University. Agency instructors will teach this course that is designed to provide strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. ■ Canton Police Recruitment Program. 3-5 p.m. Feb. 22. Third floor, Canton City Hall, 151 Elizabeth St., Canton. Participants will be given a presentation that covers the agency’s mission statement, core values, nobility statement, budget facts, breakdown of newest equipment, current programs, work projects and an overview of the organization’s structure. Also, presenters will cover a summary of the department’s hiring standards and process and employee salary/benefits. ■ Auditions for “Camelot” musical. Production dates are July 12 to Aug. 5 at the Cumming Playhouse, 101 School St., Cumming with performances at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. Produced by MGBaker Productions, LLC, “Camelot” will be directed by Gabriel Russo.
