County residents can exchange recycle carts

The DeKalb County Sanitation Division will host a series of recycling roll cart exchange events throughout the county, according a press release from the county.

Starting March 24, subscriber­s will have the opportunit­y to complete the exchange process by trading in their 18-gallon recycling bin for a compliment­ary 35-gallon recycling roll cart, or upgrading to a 65-gallon recycling cart for a one-time $15 prepaid fee. Existing recycling subscriber­s should trade in 18-gallon bins by Dec. 28

A limited number of roll carts will be available at each event and new subscripti­ons can also be processed. All event participan­ts are required to complete a recycling subscripti­on form, which can be obtained by visiting www.dekalbsani­tation.com. Event schedule:

■ noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at Tucker Recreation Center 4898 LaVista Road, Tucker

■ 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 21 at Blackburn Park, 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta

■ 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 19 at The Gallery at South DeKalb Mall, 2801 Candler Road, Decatur

■ 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 16 at Stonecrest Cith Hall, 3120 Stonecrest Blvd., Lithonia

■ 9 a.m. to noon Saturday July 21 at Lou Walker Senior Center, 2538 Panola Road, Lithonia

■ 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 20 at Sanitation Division Administra­tion Building, 3720 Leroy Scott Drive, Decatur
