“I strongly encourage all owner occupied homeowners to attend one of our public meetings,” said Pitts. “A Homestead Exemption is a way for them to save on their property taxes.”

Chairman Pitts, along with staff from the Tax Assessors’ Office, will be at the remaining public meetings:

■ 10 a.m. to noon, today at Benson Senior Facility, 6500 Vernon Woods Dr., Sandy Springs

■ 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during a town hall meeting with State Representative Debra Bazemore (D63) at Tracy Wyatt Recreation Center, 2300 Godby Road, College Park
