■ Palm Sunday: The Music Department will present “The Glory of the Cross,” a Lenten cantata compiled by accompanis­t/ choir director MaryLynn Darden at the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday.

■ Maundy Thursday Service: 7 p.m. March 29 to remember the Passover with a Service of Holy Communion.

■ Good Friday Service: 7 p.m. March 30 to remember the Passion of Christ with a Service of Tenebrae.

■ Easter Sunday “Sunrise” Service and Pancake Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. April 1. The community is invited to join with members of Avondale Pattillo United Methodist and Columbia Presbyteri­an Churches on the front lawn of Avondale Pattillo UMC for this service. Then stay to enjoy a free pancake breakfast. The Easter Worship Service (to include the Sacrament of Holy Communion) will begin at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of Avondale Pattillo UMC.

Avondale Estates Easter Egg Hunt. 10 a.m. to noon March 31. Free. Willis Park, 51 Dartmouth Ave., Avondale Estates. Children up to age 10 are welcome.

Avondale Estates Dog Parade. 9:30-10:15 a.m. check-in/on-site registrati­on, 10:30-11:30 a.m. March 31. Free. Pavilion, Willis Park, 51 Dartmouth Ave., Avondale Estates. Costumes are not required. Award categories include Best Costume, Best Owner/Dog Duo, Most Spirited/ Enthusiast­ic and Best Behaved. First 50 registered participan­ts to check in will receive a free bag of goodies.
