This micro school focuses on preparing students to succeed in today’s global economy by using personaliz­ed, project-based learning with an emphasis on science, technology and mathematic­s. Small class sizes and one-on-one tutoring are used. Tuition is $850 a month. 21C opened in August and will be the first in a series of micro schools to open in the metro Atlanta area. ■ Focus on the Family Diabetes Fun Walk. 8 a.m. registrati­on, 9 a.m. to noon May 5. Free. Exchange Park Recreation Center, 2771 Columbia Drive, Decatur. The walk is designed to help people understand the need for early detection of diabetes. There will be health screenings, giveaways, food demonstrat­ions, diabetes education and free samples.
