Board of Health launches new website

The Fulton County Board of Health has officially launched its new website that can be accessed at www.fultoncoun­tyboh.org, according to a press release. The website marks a key communicat­ions accomplish­ment for the agency as a result of its transition fromthe Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness to the Fulton County Board of Health in July 2017.

“The newwebsite is clear, concise, and easy to use,” explains FCBOH District Health Director Kathleen E. Toomey, M.D., M.PH. Clients, Fulton County residents, community partners and healthcare profession­als can now access the latest informatio­n on the Fulton County Board of Health’s ser- vices including:

■ Clinic locations (8) ■ Clinical services

■ Teen Clinic services ■ Family planning services ■ HIV, STD and TB testing and prevention

■ HIV Primary Care and the PREP Clinic

■ Oral Health services for children

■ Maternal and services

■ Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program

■ Environmen­tal Health Services for pool and restaurant­s permits and restaurant scores

■ Offiffice of Vital Records for birth and death certificat­es

■ Epidemiolo­gy for healthcare profession­als to access infectious disease reporting and surveillan­ce data

“Launching a newwebsite is a Child Health major undertakin­g. We want our clients and all Fulton County residents to have the latest informatio­n about our public health locations, resources and services,” Toomey adds.

As the largest health district in Georgia, the FCBOH is now in alignment with the other 17 Health Districts of the Georgia Department of Public Health. The Fulton County Board of Health has eight health centers located from north to south in Fulton County and an Office of Vital Records located at the Fulton County Government Center.

■ Camp WILD Summer Camps by Southern Conservati­on Trust. 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday to June 22, June 25-29, July 9-13 and July 16-20. $75 SCT members, $90 nonmembers. 192 McIntosh Trail, Peachtree City. Children, ages 6 to 12, are welcome to join for a full week of half-day camps exploring aquatic life. They can learn about plants and wildlife along the hiking trails, learn how the granite outcroppin­gs emerged within the nature area as well as participat­e in many traditiona­l camp activities.
