ABOUT THE REPORTER

Johnny Edwards isamember of The Atlanta JournalConstitution’s investigative team. A graduate of the University of Georgia’s journalism school, he previously worked at newspapers in Lynchburg, Va., and Augusta. At the AJC, Edwards’ investigation into elected officials using discretionary funds for personal benefit triggered an FBI investigation that resulted in criminal charges. He also worked on the AJC’s Doctors & Sex Abuse project, a Pulitzer finalist, and recorded a related podcast series, “Breakdown: Predator, M.D.”
