What’s not working around metro Atlanta
Update: DOT FULTON ROSWELL/ ALPHARETTA
Earlier this month, we told you about Doug Cabo’s concern over potholes.
“There are a number of potholes on Ga. 400 southbound between exit 9 and exit 5 that have been there for at least 6 months. I’ve reported them three times via 511 as well as once on the GDOT website.
Granted this is the same road that the street lights haven’t worked on for the four years I’ve lived in Atlanta so I’m not sure why I would expect they would fix the potholes in a reasonable amount of time,” he wrote. We heard back from DOT.
have reported these areas to our District Maintenance Office for review and repair of the potholes. Unfortunately, interstate lighting is the responsibility of the jurisdiction where the lighting is located, so I cannot be of help here,” wrote spokeswoman Natalie Dale.

Update: DeKalb County
At the end of last year, we told you Esther Basnet was unhappy over the aftermath of a water main break.
“More than two weeks ago there was a main water break in front of our house at 5157 Antelope Lane (next to the street) and as a result water gushed out for several hours until the watershed crew came and fixed it,” she wrote.
Basnet said the problem now is the aftermath of this issue and she is now left with a destroyed lawn and dug out mud all over the street.
“Despite emails and phone calls, the watershed management office has not sent anyone to deal with this mess. All I want is to get back my lawn as it was. Perhaps the repair team needed to run their tractor on our lawn to fix the problem, but the lawn is totally destroyed and we are left with an awful landscape,” she added.
We sent another line of inquiry to the county to check the status.
