Make your the early part of week full of fun by playing a Halloween-inspired trivia night or checking out a new exhibit around town. Here are a few ideas for your Tuesday:

Nerd Trivia Night at My Parents’ Basement in Avondale Estates

My Parents’ Basement, a comic-book store & taproom serving up local craft beer and bar food in Avondale Estates, hosts a Nerd Trivia Night on Tuesdays starting at 8 p.m. The trivia nights often have a theme like all things Harry Potter. In a nod to Halloween, tonight’s trivia night will be horror-themed. Free to play. My Parents’ Basement, 22 North Avondale Road, Avondale Estates. facebook.com/MyParentsBasement/

Chimera at Carlos Museum

‘Treasures from the Frederic Remington Art Museum and Beyond and Beyond’ at Booth Museum

Like the Wild West itself, Frederic Remington was a mix of legend and reality, but as they said in “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance,” “This is the West, sir. When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.”

Remington (1861-1909) painted, sculpted and printed the legend. His scenes of Indian scouts, Buffalo Soldiers, cowboys and campfires are the way we remember the vanishing frontier.

Some 70 of those paintings, sculptures and personal Remington artifacts are currently on display at the Booth Western Art Museum, in an exhibit titled “Treasures From the Frederic Remington Art Museum and Beyond.”

Through Jan. 13, 2019. Open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays. $12; 65 and older, $10; students, $9; 12 and younger, free. Booth Western Art Museum, 501 Museum Drive, Cartersville. 770-387-1300, boothmuseum.org.
