■ Call for volunteers: Playground build with KaBOOM! and General Motors. 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (rain or shine). Avondale Elementary School, 10 Lakeshore Drive, Avondale Estates. Volunteers of all levels of skill and ability are needed but not youths under age 18 who can stay at the play zone. If there are not enough volunteers, additional projects (including shade structures and benches) may not get built. Breakfast, lunch and water will be provided. ■ All Saints Service. 11 a.m. Sunday. Avondale Pattillo United Methodist Church, 3260 Covington Highway, Decatur. Those who wish to have someone remembered, who has been a saint to them, are asked to bring their picture to this service for a recognition of saints — living or deceased. Also, church members from the greater community, who have passed since last year, will be remembered. AvondalePattilloUMC.org

■ The Avondale Estates Garden Club’s Holiday Bazaar. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 10. Avondale Community Club, Lake Avondale, 59 Lakeshore Drive, Avondale Estates. Holiday decorations, themed gift baskets, unique gift items, one-of-a-kind birdhouses, collectibles, holiday apparel, specialty bath products, plants, garden décor, jewelry, books, homemade baked goods and cheese straws will be some of the items for sale.
