An­i­mal wel­fare of­fers hol­i­day pet por­traits

Gwin­nett An­i­mal Wel­fare will host Hol­i­day Pet Por­traits for fam­i­lies and pets with some well­known hol­i­day char­ac­ters 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to­day at 844 Win­der High­way in Lawrenceville. Por­traits are free with a pet food do­na­tion.

“Our pet por­trait event is the per­fect day to cap­ture the joy of the hol­i­day sea­son with our furry fam­ily members,” said Alan Davis, man­ager of the An­i­mal Wel­fare and En­force­ment Di­vi­sion.

Gwin­nett An­i­mal Wel­fare will be open for adop­tions through­out the day and will be of­fer­ing adop­tion gift cer­tifi­cates.

“Gift cer­tifi­cates are the per­fect way to al­low the re­cip­i­ent to be in­volved in choos­ing the per­fect best friend for them,” Davis said.

As partofthe month­long Home for the Hol­i­days cam­paign, 10 se­lected an­i­mals will be free each week and Free Fri­days will con­tinue through­out De­cem­ber. All pets adopted at Gwin­nett An­i­mal Wel­fare have been vac­ci­nated, neutered and mi­crochipped and are ready to go to their new home.
