Several events have been set as Brian Kemp takes office as Georgia’s 83rd governor today.

■ 10 a.m.: Prayer service at the Cathedral of

St. Philip in Buckhead.

■ 2 p.m.: Swearing-in ceremony at Georgia Tech’s McCamish Pavilion.

■ 4:30 p.m.: The new governor conducts a review of troops at the Capitol.
