Henry bar and grill falls short

A Henry County bar and grill failed a re­cent health in­spec­tion. Grand Stands Bar & Grill in Hamp­ton scored 60/U on Feb.

7. Pre­vi­ous scores were 83/B on Dec. 14, 2017, and 90/A on April 17, 2015.

Ac­cord­ing to the re­port, the dish­washer wasn’t dis­pens­ing san­i­tiz­ing so­lu­tion.

Other vi­o­la­tions in­cluded:

■ The ice ma­chine in the main kitchen had a buildup of black mold in the dis­penser area.

■ Sev­eral items in the prep top cooler in the main kitchen were hold­ing a tem­per­a­ture greater than 41 de­grees.

■ Blue cheese and diced toma­toes were past the seven day mark for food stor­age.

■ A food con­tainer la­beled as gin­ger soy con­tained onion ring bat­ter.

■ A tub of pick­les was on the floor of the walk in cooler. All food items need to be stored at least 6 inches off the ground.

■ There was a live roach in­side the main kitchen.

Most restau­rants with failed scores are rein­spected within 10 days.
