DDREA, a unit of the Georgia Retired Educators Association, is actively recruiting retired educators. DDREA meets on the third Thursday of each month, September through May. ■ DeKalb County Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Run/ Walk. 9 a.m. Oct. 19. $10 for DeKalb County employees, $20 for nonemployees. Northlake Mall, 4800 Briarcliff Road NE, Tucker. Hosts will be DeKalb County Government, Susan G. Komen and Northlake Mall. The route begins and ends at the mall and also features a onemile fun run/walk. Registration includes access to run/walk activities and an event T-shirt. All proceeds from the 5K run/ walk will go to fund Susan G. Komen programming initiatives in DeKalb County.
