What’s not working around metro Atlanta

Item: Atlanta (Fulton)

If it’s one thing we enjoy, it’s a reader with a sense of humor in dealing with an unresolved issue.

A reader sent us a topic at 1284 Citadel Drive in Atlanta. The reader said his family moved into the neighborhood many years ago and discovered a problem.

“We moved in fifive years ago, and therewere already swallowed cones inside,” said the reader.

The reader sent us a funny photo of his problem that we sent to the city. We will let you know if the issue gets fixed or celebrates another birthday.

Update: Marietta (Cobb)

Last week, we told you about Russ Marshall’s issue about a sign on Bells Ferry Road.

“So, which way is north to Kennesaw, and which way is south to Marietta? I’ve lived here for a long time and still get confused about which way to turn. Two simple signs on Cobb Parkway with arrows facing Bells Ferry Road east and west, please,” he said.

We got a quick response from the DOT.

“Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Georgia’s DOT district seven traffic operations office will submit a maintenance work request for additional Cardinal (North, South, East, and West) signage at the location provided.

“We will also look into including Way Finder Signage to the I-75, I-575 Interstate,” wrote a DOT official.
