Atlanta’s best places to view the sunset

Stop, close your eyes, and think of a picture-perfect view of the sun setting on the horizon. Embody the feeling when you see stunning pink hues and swirling orange clouds as the glowing sun begins to set. There is nothing more therapeuti­c than seeing nature’s beauty at its best. When you want to see a gorgeous sunset, you need that uninhibite­d spot. Here are some prime locations in Atlanta to get a glimpse of the evening sunset, a view to remember.

Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta

While the sun will set above the iconic Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta every day, the five-star hotel boasts two ideal locations for catching and capturing that perfect sunset. The fifth floor sits the Garden Table restaurant and an outdoor rooftop that overlooks the city. New Realm Brewing

This cozy spot on Atlanta’s Beltline opened on New Year’s Eve in 2017. New Realm offers an expansive brewery, serves New American fare and boasts a roof bar with city views. Stone Mountain Park

Catch a spectacula­r sunset at Stone Mountain’s summit. Situated on the outskirts of Atlanta, this spot is located 15 miles east of Atlanta on 3,200 acres of natural beauty. Taking in sweeping views at twilight is captivatin­g from the top—all year round. Hike on the Walk-Up Trail or take the Summit Skyride. From the top, experience amazing views of the Atlanta skyline, the Appalachia­n Mountains and more up to 60 miles away. Piedmont Park

The Whitley, Atlanta Buckhead

The Whitley recently completed a multimilli­ondollar transforma­tion of all 507 guest rooms and suites, lobby, 18th-floor club level, and spa. Situated on Jackson Street off John Lewis Freedom Parkway, this iconic bridge offers a famous city view and a stunning sunset spot. This bridge is also famous from film appearance­s in “The Walking Dead.” It is the perfect spot to see the skyscrapin­g city view in the far back, the changing clouds above and the bustling traffic below.

Skyline Park at Ponce City Market

Located at the top of Ponce City Market, Skyline Park has stunning skyline views, rooftop games and putt-putt gulf.
