1 Warner Robins, Peach County spend to bring in Buc-ee’s: Middle Georgia government­s will spend almost $2.3 million on traffic and utility improvemen­ts to attract a branch of Texas convenienc­e store chain Buc-ee’s. The Telegraph of Macon reports the commitment­s by Warner Robins and Peach County are part of a deal for Buc-ee’s to invest at least $35 million. 3 Police kill man in pizza shop: A police officer shot and killed a man who was holding an Ohio pizza shop employee hostage at knifepoint and threatenin­g to hurt her, authoritie­s said. No one else was hurt during the half-hour confrontat­ion Saturday at Cristy’s Pizza in Lancaster.

4 Brother charged in murder: A pregnant woman was stabbed to death at her home in Pflugervil­le, Texas, and her brother is charged in her murder, the Travis County sheriff’s office said. The younger brother of Jennifer Chioma Ebichi, 32 — Michael Ify Egwuagu, 25, a former University of TexasSan Antonio football player — remained in Travis County jail on $500,000 bond Sunday.

5 Actress dies: Actress Sue Lyon, forever tied to her teenage portrayal of the title role in the 1962 film “Lolita,” died Dec. 26 in Los Angeles. She was 73. No cause of death was given.
