Kelly Part II: The Reckoning,” with one major difference: This time, R. Kelly will be behind bars when it airs. 2 Putin thanks Trump: Russian President Vladimir Putin called President Donald Trump late Sunday to thank him for information shared by U.S. intelligence that helped foil a terrorist attack in St. Petersburg.
3 Pilot identified in crash: A pilot who was killed Sunday after his small plane crashed into a home in Maryland has been identified as a 61-year-old man from the Bronx in New York City. Maryland State Police said Gordon Allen died when his single-engine plane crashed about 3:10 p.m. in the 6300 block of Chestnut Avenue in Lanham.
4 Actor dies: Comedic writer and actor Neil Innes, who created a Beatles parody group called the Rutles and frequently worked with the members of Monty Python, has died at age 75, his agent confirmed Monday. Innes died of natural causes Sunday night, agent Nigel Morton said.
5 Officers sentenced to death: A Sudanese court Monday sentenced to death 29 members of the national intelligence service for the torture and killing of a teacher, the latest in a series of convictions and investigations this month targeting the government of the deposed president, Omar al-Bashir. The court sentenced the men in the killing of Ahmed al-Kheir, a teacher who died in custody in February during mass protests against al-Bashir’s rule.
