The Atlanta Hawks through the Hawks Foundation and State Farm are providing support to Goodr, an Atlanta-based social impact startup leveraging technology to reduce food waste and end hunger, in an effort to combat food insecurity during the current COVID19 crisis for the most vulnerable populations: senior citizens and low-income students who rely on subsidized school meals for daily nourishment. Through donations from the Hawks Foundation and State Farm, Goodr is providing five pop-up grocery stores in underserved communities throughout Atlanta and delivering food and supplies directly to senior citizens at senior facilities or their homes.

In collaboration with the Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation, Goodr is adapting its normal operations to comply with CDC guidelines which recommend social distancing and avoidance of large gatherings. The deliveries will utilize drive-through and walk-through systems to distribute the food. Three of the five pop-up grocery stores will take place at basketball courts previously renovated through the Hawks Foundation, and four of the locations are in high-density areas served by parks.

The five pop-up locations:

■ At-Promise Youth Center, 740 Cameron Madison Alexander Blvd NW

■ Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation & Aquatic Center, 110 Hilliard St SE

■ Thomasville Recreation Center, 1835 Henry Thomas Dr SE

■ Center of Hope at Central Park in Old Fourth Ward, 400 Merritts Avenue NE

■ C.T. Martin Natatorium and Recreation Center, 3201 MLK Jr. Dr. SW

Registration opens every Monday morning for future pop-up grocery stores. Participants must register at GoodrPopUp.Splashthat. com.
