Funding renewed for two Fayette nonprofits

Two Fayette County-based nonprofit organizati­ons will get renewed funding grants from Peachtree City, following unanimous approval from the City Council on Thursday.

Fayette Senior Services, which provides meals, nonemergen­cy transporta­tion and other personal services not offered by the county, will receive $15,000. FSS operates the Life Enrichment Center in Fayettevil­le and partners with Peachtree City’s Gathering Place.

Promise Place, which provides more than 2,200 individual­s per year in four counties with emergency shelter, legal advocacy and other services related to domestic violence, will receive $10,000 from the city. Promise Place also conducts a teen dating violence prevention program for middle and high school students.
