The Dream will open their 2020 campaign July 26 against the Dallas Wings.

The WNBA season, which was set to start May 15 before the coronavirus pandemic hit, will begin July 25 at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, with an opener between the Seattle Storm and the New York Liberty on ESPN.

The Dream’s first two games will air on CBS Sports Network. The Dream’s season opener is similar to 2019, a matchup with the Dallas Wings that will take place at 5 p.m. on July 26.

At 10 p.m. July 29, the Dream will face off against former Dream star Angel McCoughtry and the Las Vegas Aces. The Dream will have three games televised on ESPN2 and two additional ones on CBSSN. In the shortened schedule, the team will play 22 games in 47 days.

“Every year the schedule in this league is challenging because of the quality of players and teams,” coach Nicki Collen said in a statement, “but we are all facing the same unique challenges of playing in an environment with no fans, tight turnarounds and rosters changes. I’m excited to get started and see how our team gels and grows.”

The Dream, who overhauled their roster in the offseason, will play each opponent twice in a regular season that will last through mid-September before playoffs begin. The league will have 24 games broadcast across ABC, ESPN
