Raoul Caine has an issue with a sidewalk in his DeKalb County neighborhood.

“I live in southeast DeKalb County at 3613 Waldrop Farms Drive. Back in April 2019, I noticed that a part of the sidewalk that sits above the sewer line in front of my house had caved in after a few days of heavy rain,” he wrote.

He said it’s been more than 14 months and counting for his issue, and the county has done nothing to fix the problem, except to come and put yellow tape around the hole.

“Now they don’t even bother returning my calls. It’s only a matter of time before a child or a pet falls in and potentially suffers serious injuries. This is a public safety issue that the county has continued to ignore. Can you help?” Caine asked.

Rod Brim wants some traffic issues fixed in one of the city’s busiest shopping and residential districts.

“I drive through and around Atlantic Station quite often. There is no rhyme or reason to the timing of their traffic lights. You can be at a red light on 17th Street with no cross traffic for minutes at a time. The same is true if you’re on a side street waiting for the 17th Street light to change with no traffic going either way on 17th Street. Lots of gas and time being wasted!” he said.

Brim hopes the issue can soon be resolved to improve the flow of traffic.
