Garza, Weiskamp help No. 9 Iowa defeat No. 4 Ohio State

Luka Garza had 24 points and 11 rebounds as No. 9 Iowa bounced back from a midweek loss to take down No. 4 Ohio State 73-57 Sunday. Joe Weiskamp added 19 points for Iowa (18-7, 12-6 Big Ten) vs. the Buckeyes (18-7, 12-7).

(At) Butler 73, No. 8 Villanova 61: Chuck Harris’ 20 points led the Bulldogs (9-13, 8-11 Big East) as the Wildcats became the sixth top-15 team to lose this weekend. Jeremiah Robinson-earl finished with 16 points and 16 rebounds to lead Villanova (15-4, 10-3).

(At) No. 12 Houston 98, South Florida 52: Quentin Grimes’ 22 points, all in the first half, led the Cougars (20-3, 13-3 American Athletic) past the Bulls (8-10, 4-8).

Late Saturday

(At) No. 17 Kansas 71, No. 2 Baylor 58: Kansas (18-8, 12-6 Big 12) put a blemish on Baylor’s season. David Mccormack scored 20 points and the Jayhawks left topranked Gonzaga as the nation’s only unbeaten. Baylor (18-1, 11-1) got 18 points from Macio Teague.

(At) No. 1 Gonzaga 86, Loyola-marymount 69: Corey Kispert scored 24 points for the Bulldogs (24-0, 15-0 WCC), the first team to finish a regular season unbeaten since Kentucky in 2014-15. Eli Scott’s 20 points and 11 rebounds led Loyola (12-8, 7-5).

No. 2 North Carolina St. 68, (at) Syracuse 61: Elissa Cunane had 17 points, Jada Boyd added 16 and the Wolfpack (17-2, 12-2 ACC) beat the Orange (12-7, 9-7).

(At) No. 3 Texas A&M 65, No. 5 South Carolina 57: Aaliyah Wilson scored 17 points and N’dea Jones 16 to lead the Aggies (22-1, 13-1 SEC) to their first regular-season SEC title. Destanni Henderson and Zia Cooke had 15 points each for the Gamecocks (19-4, 14-2).

(At) No. 4 Stanford 72, California 33: The Cardinal (22-2, 19-2 Pac-12) used a big second half to beat Cal (1-15, 1-12).

No. 6 Louisville 78, (at) Notre Dame 61: Dana Evans had 26 points and five assists as the Cardinals (21-2, 14-2 ACC) wrapped up a fourth straight regular-season ACC title, beating the Irish (10-9, 8-7).

No. 8 Maryland 62, (at) Northweste­rn 50: Mimi Collins had 18 points and 10 rebounds as the Terrapins (19-2, 15-1) beat Northweste­rn (13-6, 11-6), clinching a share of the Big Ten regular-season title.

(At) Arizona St. 66, No. 9 Arizona 64 (OT): Taya Hanson’s 19 points led the Sun Devils (11-9, 6-9). Aari Mcdonald scored 30 for the Wildcats (15-4, 13-4).

Ole Miss 73, (at) No. 19 Kentucky 69: Shakira Austin’s 22 points and 12 rebounds led the Rebels (10-10, 4-10 SEC). Rhyne Howard had 21 points and a careerhigh 16 rebounds for Kentucky (1610, 9-6).

(At) No. 21 Tennessee 88, Auburn 54: Rennia Davis had 23 points and 11 rebounds as the Lady Vols (15-6, 9-4 SEC) beat the Tigers (5-18, 0-15), clinching the third seed in the conference tournament.

No. 25 Rutgers 60, (at) Penn St. 55: The Scarlet Knights (12-3, 8-3 Big Ten) beat the Lady Lions (9-12, 6-11) for their seventh straight win.
