Would protect businesses from being sued over the spread of COVID-19. STATUS: Passed the House

House Bill 290

Would prevent hospitals and nursing homes from obtaining or renewing a license to operate if they put a policy in place to keep visitors away from patients during a “declared public health emergency,” like the current one for the COVID-19 pandemic.

House Bill 358

Would put a 30-day cap on a governor’s emergency orders during a public crisis and require lawmakers to vote on extending them.

STATUS: Still in the House

Senate Bill 46

Would allow more medical profession­als such as pharmacist­s, nurses and medics to administer vaccines during public health emergencie­s.

STATUS: Passed the Senate
