» Braves offering free tickets to those who get vaccine at The Battery today; United offering shots at Saturday’s match,

Shots will be available at The Battery today and at match Saturday.

The Braves are offering a free ticket to this afternoon’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays to fans who receive a COVID-19 vaccinatio­n shot that day at The Battery Atlanta.

The free shots will be available from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday inside the Coca-cola Roxy at The Battery, just outside Truist Park. Game time is 12:20 p.m.

The Braves, in conjunctio­n with CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) and Cobb and Douglas Public Health, plan to offer the first dose of the Pfizer two-shot vaccine to individual­s ages 12 and up and the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine to ages 18 and up.

The vaccines will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and fans can guarantee a spot by registerin­g online at braves. com/roxyvaccin­e, according to the Braves. Walk-ups will be welcomed while supplies last, the team said.

Also, At la nta United — in partnershi­p with Atlanta-fulton County Emergency Management, Fulton Board of Health — plans to offer COVID-19 vaccinatio­ns at its match against Montreal at Mercedes-benz Stadium on Saturday. The free vaccine shots will be available inside the stadium for ticketed fans (from 5:30 p.m. until halftime on the 300-level skybridge) and outside the stadium for the general public (3:30-7 p.m. at Lot 17, located at 34 Mangum St. on the stadium’s south side), according to Atlanta United. Atboth locations, people can get the first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

United’s match against Montreal begins at 7 p.m. Saturday.
