Add Georgia’s Foley Field to the list of sports venues reverting to full-capacity attendance.

The University of Georgia announced Wednesday the Bulldogs’ baseball stadium will be open to its capacity of 3,200 spectators for the three final home games against Ole Miss on May 20-22. Attendance was previously capped at 664 to adhere to COVID1-9 social-distancing recommendations.

Georgia coach S cott Stricklin said he found out Tuesday night. “I’m really excited,” he said. “We got to play at Arkansas in front of a packed house for three straight games. It was really loud and adds so much to the game. The fans who have been able to come to Foley have been great, but to have a full house with every seat filled and everybody being loud is exciting news.”

Georgia (28-18, 11-13 SEC) just returned from a trip to Fayetteville to face No. 1 Arkansas. The Razorbacks’ stadium was at capacity for that three-game series and attendance for the games was listed as 7,645. The Bulldogs lost two of the three games.

SEC event protocols will remain in place, meaning spectators will be required to wear masks or face coverings when entering and moving about the facility. Gates will open one hour before each game. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at Georgiadogs.com. Group tickets of 10 or more will be $5 each; for those, call the UGA ticket office at 706-5421231 or 877-542-1231.

Georgia is playing on the road against Florida this weekend. Stricklin was not sure if the Gators are back at full capacity. The Bulldogs will play at Georgia Tech at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

“You can feel the fans giving energy to the players,” said Stricklin, who was out for two weeks earlier this season with COVID-19. “It can be negative, too, if it’s going against you. But I was happy with the way our players responded, but it certainly gave Arkansas energy. A couple of times I felt like my ears were going to pop in there, it was so loud.”

Game times for the Ole Miss series are 7 p.m., May 20; 7 p.m., May 21; and 2 p.m., May 22.
