Reds 5, PIRATES 1: Jesse Winker and Eugenio Suárez combined to drive in four runs in the 10th inning as Cincinnati’s bullpen threw 5 1/3 hitless innings, and the Reds beat the Pirates.

CLEVELAND 2, Cubs 1: Amed Rosario’s bases-loaded single with two outs in the 10th inning lifted Cleveland. Rosario, who drove in Cleveland’s first run with a sixth-inning double, singled to right on a 1-1 pitch from Keegan Thompson.

Padres 5, ROCKIES 3 (G1): Victor Caratini lined a two-out grand slam in the sixth, powering the virus-depleted Padres in a doublehead­er opener. Second baseman Austin Nola made a game-saving, over-the-shoulder catch in shallow right to close out the game.

Phillies at NATIONALS, late: Bryce Harper treated heckling fans to a long home run, Andrew Knapp delivered a key pinch-hit in place of injured catcher J.T. Realmuto and the Philadelph­ia Phillies beat the Washington Nationals 6-2 on Tuesday night.

Royals at TIGERS, late: Robbie Grossman singled home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning and the Tigers, after squanderin­g a seven-run lead late, recovered to beat the Royals 8-7 on Tuesday night.

Athletics at RED SOX, late: Chris Bassitt struck out a season-high 10 over seven effective innings and the Oakland Athletics beat the Boston Red Sox 3-2 on Tuesday night in a matchup of American League division leaders.

Yankees at RAYS, late: Jordan Montgomery pitched six strong innings, Aaron Judge and Gary Sánchez homered, and the New York Yankees beat the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Blue Jays at BRAVES, late: Vladimir Guerrero homered and drove in three runs and the Toronto Blue Jays took advantage of Atlanta’s indecisive fielding in the eighth inning, rallying past the Braves 5-3 Tuesday night.

Cardinals at BREWERS, late: Paul Goldschmid­t and Tyler O’neill homered off Brad Boxberger in the 11th inning to help the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Milwaukee Brewers 6-1 on Tuesday night for their fourth straight victory.

Angels at ASTROS, late: Shohei Ohtani struck out 10 in an impressive duel with Lance Mccullers Jr., and the Houston Astros broke loose against the Angels’ bullpen to beat Los Angeles 5-1 Tuesday night.

Twins at WHITE SOX, late: José Abreu hit a tiebreakin­g two-run homer in the sixth inning and the Chicago White Sox won their fourth straight, 9-3 over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night.

Marlins at DIAMONDBAC­KS, late:

Madison Bumgarner threw seven shutout innings, Asdrúbal Cabrera had four hits including a three-run homer, and the Arizona Diamondbac­ks beat the Miami Marlins 11-3 on Tuesday night.

Mariners at DODGERS, late: Gavin Lux hit a dramatic three-run homer in the eighth inning, and the struggling Los Angeles Dodgers rallied late for a 6-4 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night.
