Suspect allegedly forced his way into woman’s apartment carrying gun.

A Gwinnett County man wanted on kidnapping and home invasion charges stemming from an April incident was arrested at a Snellville gas station Wednesday.

Lawrencevi­lle was arrested by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office fugitive unit with the assistance of the Snellville Police Department, officials said. White was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail, where he remains without bond, sheriff ’s office spokesman Officer S. Hardy said in a news release.

The incident that l ed to White’s charges took place at the Highlands at Sweetwater Creek apartment complex April 16 between 6 and 7 p.m., according to an arrest warrant obtained by The Atlanta Journal-constituti­on.

According to the warrant, White forced his way into a woman’s apartment while carrying a Glock handgun with an extended magazine.

He then forced the woman from her bedroom into a closet and would not let her leave, the warrant says.

Police have not said if the incident was random or if White knew the victim.
