Gwinnett County Commissioner Jasper Watkins will host a series of town halls in October to answer questions and hear concerns from residents.

Watkins, who took office this year, will co-host the town halls with local officials in three Gwinnett cities. The commissioner represents District 3, which includes Dacula, Grayson, Snellville and portions of Auburn, Braselton, Lawrenceville and Loganville.

“These town hall meetings will afford me an opportunity to share with my constituents, friends and neighbors all the great things the county is doing in District 3,” said Watkins in a news release. “It also will give them a chance to share with me their concerns, their ideas and the issues they are interested in. It is democracy in its purest form.”

All three meetings will be carried on Facebook Live on Gwinnett County’s official page, but comments will only be accepted in person. The county encourages anyone who attends to wear a mask.
