Carver-atlanta’s Lightfoot shines on defense

Here were the top metro Atlanta performanc­es from Week 7 of the high school football season:

■ Banneker RB/DB Jamill Williams had 152 yards from scrimmage on 10 touches and scored on a run, a reception and an intercepti­on return (45 yards) in a 25-0 victory over Drew.

■ Carver-atlanta DE Terrell Lightfoot had five tackles for loss, three sacks, seven other tackles, recovered a fumble and broke up a pass in a 36-20 victory over Westminste­r.

■ Cherokee DB/WR Keegan Baker had four receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns, seven tackles and two intercepti­ons in a 51-20 victory over Woodstock.

■ Creekview QB Mason Hicks was 12-of-13 passing for 205 yards and three touchdowns in a 31-7 victory over Sequoyah.

■ Douglas County DB

Myles Oliver intercepte­d two passes, returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown and rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown in a 36-20 victory over Paulding County.

■ Fayette County RB/LB

Brandon Moss rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on four carries and had four tackles and two assists in a 40-0 victory over North Clayton.

■ Greater Atlanta Christian WR/DB Will Hardy intercepte­d two passes, returning one for a touchdown, and forced two fumbles, recovering one for a touchdown, in 50-20 victory over Douglass. Hardy had seven tackles and more than 170 all-purpose yards.

■ Hughes MLB Michael Watson had 10 of his team’s 47 solo tackles, one at the 1-yard line in the final seconds to preserve a 31-24 victory over Westlake.

■ Johns Creek WR Josh Thompson had two TD receptions and a blocked punt, his sixth blocked kick of the season, in a 57-0 victory over Chattahooc­hee.

■ Mcintosh RB Marcus Malone rushed for 251 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries in a 41-21 victory over Northside of Columbus.

■ Mill Creek LB Jamal Anderson seven tackles, a sack, a tackle for a loss, a safety and two pass breakups in a 36-17 victory over North Gwinnett.

■ Mount Paran Christian RB Sam Griffith rushed for 301 yards and two touchdowns on 36 carries in a 21-14 victory over King’s Ridge Christian.

■ Mundy’s Mill RB Jerric Gibson compiled 159 all-purpose yards, all in the first half of a 33-3 victory over Tri-cities. He scored three touchdowns rushing and one receiving.

■ Norcross DT Sha’kwan Mcknight had six tackles and four hits behind the line in a 63-0 victory over Meadowcree­k.

■ Riverwood QB Avery Smith was 23-of-33 passing for 360 yards and five touchdowns in a 44-15 victory over River Ridge. Smith also rushed for 53 yards.

■ St. Pius DB Jack Tchienchou had 206 all-purpose yards, returned two kickoffs for touchdowns, broke up five passes and recorded a tackle in a 33-13 victory over Southwest Dekalb.

■ Wesleyan LB Byrne Ahrenkiel had 12 tackles, one for a loss, in a 23-2 victory over Athens Academy.

■ Woodstock WR Brady Williams had seven receptions for 135 yards and a touchdown in a 51-20 loss to Cherokee.

■ Woodward Academy RB Damari Alston rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries in a 24-7 victory over Jonesboro.
