Clayton County seafood eatery fails health check

A Clayton County seafood restaurant failed a recent health inspection. Supreme Fish Delight in Riverdale scored 64/U on Sept. 28. Previous scores were 86/B on Sept. 22 and 81/B on July 24, 2019.

According to the report, there were employee water bottles stored on the prep top counter. Other violations:

■ Several containers of fish stored were uncovered inside the reach-in freezer.

■ There was no sanitizer setup for sanitizing surfaces.

■ There was debris buildup inside the ice machines.

■ Cold-held foods were at temperatures above 41 degrees.

■ Chemical bottles were not properly labeled.

■ Several containers of fish were thawing at room temperatures.

■ Fan had dust/debris buildup blowing over the food prep area.

■ There was food debris buildup along the fryer and other equipment surfaces.

■ There was food splatter and buildup along walls and ceiling tiles.

■ There were flies and dead insects in the main kitchen.

Most restaurants with failed scores are reinspected within 10 days.
