Gwinnett seeks public input on future of mall

- —KAREN HUPPERTZ

Gwinnett is inviting the public to bring together a small group of neighbors, friends, family and colleagues to discuss the future of Gwinnett Place Mall 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Berkmar High School, 405 Pleasant Hill Road in Lilburn. Participants are encouraged to register at eventbrite.com.

The county’s Meetings-in-a-box offer the community an opportunity to get and give input about the equitable redevelopment process for the Gwinnett Place Mall site in Duluth.

“For this particular project, we’re doing redevelopment differently. This will not be a top-down approach,” Board Chairwoman Nicole Hendrickson said. “We are the most diverse county in the state of Georgia and it’s important to me and to our board that we involve our diverse stakeholders in driving this process.”
