COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Clemson cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. is giving up his final season of college to enter the NFL draft. The 6-foot, 200-pound junior from Dacula announced his decision Sunday on social media. In three seasons at Clemson, Booth had five intercepti­ons and 68 tackles. He’s considered among the top cornerback­s for this spring’s draft and has projected as a first-round selection in several mock drafts.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: West Virginia has hired Graham Harrell as offensive coordinato­r and quarterbac­ks coach to try to bolster a unit that ranked near the bottom of the Big 12 in 2021. Harrell, 36, spent the past three seasons in the same role at Southern Cal.

PRO BASEBALL: Genevieve Beacom has made history as the first female pitcher for an Australian profession­al baseball team. Beacom, 17, appeared in the three-game Melbourne Challenge Series. Beacom signed for the Melbourne Aces this month as a developmen­t player. She appeared Saturday against Adelaide and allowed no runs and no hits in one inning.

FIGURE SKATING: Six-time U.S. champion Nathan Chen and Vincent Zhou are headed back to the Olympics, joined by longtime fan favorite Jason Brown on a strong and deep American contingent for next month’s Beijing Games. A committee picked the squad and had to add three skaters who did not finish nationals: Alysa Liu on the women’s team and Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier in pairs.

PRO FOOTBALL: Don Maynard, a Hall of Fame receiver who made his biggest impact catching passes from Joe Namath in the wide-open AFL, has died. He was 86. The Pro Football Hall of Fame confirmed Maynard’s death on Monday through his family. Maynard was the main target for Namath with the New York Jets.
