1 PRO BASKETBALL: Memphis coach Taylor Jenkins has been fined $15,000 for publicly criticizin­g the officiatin­g in Game 4 of the Grizzlies’ series against the Minnesota Timberwolv­es, the NBA announced Monday. Jenkins made his comments to the media following the Grizzlies’ 119-118 loss Saturday in Minneapoli­s. “I’ve never seen a more inconsiste­nt, arrogant officiated game, ”jenkins said.“it’s embarrassi­ng. I’m at a loss for words.”

2 PRO FOOTBALL: The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing back safety Terrell Edmunds on a one-year deal. The deal, announced on Monday, will pay Edmunds $2.5 million. Pittsburgh drafted Edmunds in the first round in 2018, but declined to exercise his fifth-year option last spring. He put together a solid 2021, picking off two passes and finishing with 89 tackles in 17 games.

3 PRO SOCCER: Barcelona lost 1-0 to Rayo Vallecano on Sunday for an unpreceden­ted third straight home defeat, leaving Real Madrid a point away from clinching the Spanish league title. It was the first time Barcelona had lost three in a row at home in all competitio­ns in the same season, prompting some boos from the home crowd.

4 COLLEGE BASKETBALL: A.J. Griffin became the fifth Duke player this spring to enter his name in the NBA draft. Griffin follows Mark Williams, Paolo Banchero, Wendell Moore and Trevor Keels in submitting their names. Griffin, a guard, started the final 25 games of the year for Duke, averaging 10.4 points. He was dangerous from behind the 3-point line, shooting 44%.

5 FIGURE SKATING: Russia has been stripped of hosting an event on figure skating’s Grand Prix circuit next season because of the war on Ukraine. The Internatio­nal Skating Union said Monday it is looking for a replacemen­t for the Nov. 25-27 event.
